In-Kind Grants

Campus Consortium Foundation (CCF) vendor-partners donate a limited number of in-kind services to CCF for member institutions. The most common donation is in-kind labor and services. This contribution eliminates the cost of design, configuration, integration and implementation. Institutions pay only licensing and system fees for the vendor/partner platform or solution. What is an In-Kind Grant?​​

A non-monetary contribution including goods, services, time, and expertise offered free or at less than the usual charge to a nonprofit organization. Individuals, corporations, and businesses can all make in-kind donations.​

What is the Value of an In-Kind Grant?​

  • Donor estimates and documents the Fair Market Value of Contribution
  • The service creates or enhances a nonfinancial asset
  • The service requires specialized skills, is provided by skilled persons
  • Would have been purchased if it hadn’t been donated

A Contribution of Specific Services Not Money​

  • An in-kind-grant is not money it is a contribution of valuable services
  • Is restricted to and rendered by a specific vendor or organization
  • Cannot be substituted with money or other services

What is a CCF Restricted In-Kind Grant?​

  • Contributed by a specific vendor or provider
  • Rendered by a specific vendor or provider
  • Intended for a particular purpose
  • Restricted to the donor defined purpose
